Update to Funding Opportunity: Strengthening Voices, Realising Rights Initiative Phase 2

Author: Trust for London

Given the uncertainty that COVID-19 is creating, here at Trust for London, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications for funding to Phase 2 of the Strengthening Voices, Realising Rights Initiative to Friday 5 June 2020.

We are acutely aware of the adverse impact of COVID-19 on civil society organisations and the people they support. Adjusting to the demands of social distancing and remote working is presenting particular challenges to Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DDPOs). Measures to protect the spread of COVID-19 are creating additional barriers to effective working and accessible communication within DDPOs, and between DDPOs and their service users.

We appreciate that DDPOs are looking for ways to continue working and that at the present time they are busy dealing with many other pressing challenges, including keeping their members safe and working out ways to restore crucial services.

We hope that in in the coming months DDPOs will be in a better position to focus on resource raising work. Taking this into account, we are extending the deadline for applications to Phase 2 of our Strengthening Voices, Realising Rights Initiative to Friday 5 June 2020.

We will continue to keep developments under review and to adapt to any new circumstances and/or government advice. If circumstances force us to make more changes to the application process and timetable, these will be communicated here and through relevant Deaf and Disabled People’s networks.

More details and how to apply are can be found here.
