Sustain: The Alliance for Better Food and Farming
60 second overview
Sustain: The Alliance for Better Food and Farming runs a number of different projects and campaigns to improve food and farming, with the help of around 100 membership organisations.
They advocate food and agriculture policies and practices that enhance the health and welfare of people and animals, improve the working and living environment, enrich society and culture, and promote equity.
We have provided them with funding towards the London Food Poverty (LFP) Campaign project. Each year, the LFP campaign provides a comprehensive picture of how much London boroughs are doing to reduce the root causes of food poverty, long-term via its Beyond the Food Bank report. The campaign also works with local authorities and key stakeholders to implement strategic and affordable actions to tackle food poverty in the capital, whilst always making sure to amplify the voice of experts-by-experience.
