More on the IDVA initiative
Achievements
- The overwhelming majority of the IDVAs' clients felt and were safer as a result of the support they received.
- Trust for London and the Henry Smith Charity received a special award from the Mayor of London in 2006, as part of the GLA's annual awards in the domestic violence field.
Evaluation
An external evaluation was undertaken by Professor Liz Kelly and Dr Maddy Coy of the Child & Women Abuse Studies Unit at London Metropolitan University. The evaluation report was published in January 2011 (see below).
