Count Us In

newCount us in.jpg

Count Us In was our disability programme from 2000 to 2005. This report highlights its achievements. This special initiative considered the lack of support for small disability groups and self-advocacy groups of people with learning disabilities in London.

Count Us In did not always run smoothly but overall, good progress was made. Individuals and groups gained in confidence and made a significant contribution towards amending the Mental Capacity Bill, to ensure that it really did meet the needs of people who are disabled and from black and minority ethnic groups.
