Sophie Fernandes

Sophie is a Common Councilman for the City of London. Currently she is also the Parliamentary Affairs Officer for the Institute of Directors. Previous to this she worked for an executive search firm in New York, before moving into public affairs back in London.
Educated at her local comprehensive in Uxbridge, Sophie read American Studies at Brunel University before completing a Masters in International Political Economy at the University of Leeds.
Outside of professional life, Sophie is a school governor and has spent extensive time as an Air Cadet and Civilian Instructor with the Air Training Corps. She takes an active interest in mainstream politics and enjoys horse riding, skiing and climbing.
