Mubin Haq - Director of Policy & Grants

Mubin Haq is Director of Policy & Grants.
At the Trust he takes the lead on the Trust's open grants programme and leads on a number of special initiatives, particularly those related to research, such as London's Poverty Profile. Mubin leads on policy issues relating to poverty and inequality for Trust for London. He also has responsibility for the Trust's Programme Related Investments, which seek to provide a financial as well as social return.
His previous employment included working for South East London Community Foundation (now known as Capital Community Foundation) where he undertook a number of roles, including as Interim Director. Before this he worked for five years in North Woolwich, Newham, where he ran St John's Community Centre and gained a good grounding in voluntary sector and community development issues.
Mubin is currently a management committee member of London Funders (the capital's umbrella body for all funders). He has previously been on the board of a range of other organisations including London & Quadrant Housing Association's Community Investment committee, Community Foundation Network and Royal Docks Trust.
He is actively involved in local community issues and campaigns where he lives in east London.
