Capital for London

Capital for London is a new programme from Trust for London to fund investments that can offer both financial and social returns. We want to hear from organisations seeking investment to develop self-sustaining work with positive outcomes for society.

Whilst the principal focus of Trust for London is making grants, there are other ways the Trust can use its resources to tackle poverty and inequality in the capital. Grant funds are created by the careful investment of the Trust's endowment and each year this generates around £7 million. However, by making investments that create not just a financial return but also have a positive social impact as well, the Trust can increase the overall benefits achieved. This type of working is called Mission Related Investing.

Capital for London has been created as a vehicle to bring the Trust for London's investment strategy and mission closer together.

Entirely separate from the Trust for London's grant programme, Capital for London does not affect the amount of funding available for grants.
