Policy Roundtable held on Domestic Violence Services

This was held on 15 March 2011 at Portcullis House, chaired by Alexandra Topping from the Guardian, speakers included Lynne Featherstone, Equalities Minister, Cllr Ann Lucas, Domestic Violence lead for the Local Government Association and Davina James-Hanman, Against Violence and Abuse, who has been an expert advisor to our Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy Special Initiative.

The main issues discussed at the roundtable included concerns about the cuts to specialist domestic violence services; how to influence local authorities in light of the localism agenda; and the lack of adequate data on domestic violence in order to make the financial/business case for DV services.
