Kalayaan wins Guardian Charity Awards
Kalayaan is one of five organisations supporting vulnerable people that have been named winners of the Guardian Charity Awards 2010.
As well as a £6,000 cash prize, each of the charities wins a support package from the Foundation for Social Improvement, including mentoring, advice and training; a media package from Media Trust, and a year's free membership of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Kalayaan is a small charity supporting Migrant Domestic Workers, who work in private households in the UK. Kalayaan was part of Trust for London's Tackling Modern Day Slavery special initiative and now has funding through our open programme.
