Cameron Geddes was born in Barking, where he still lives.
Cameron Geddes is a nominee of the Association of London Government was first appointed to the Central Governing Body in February 2006.
He was educated at Barking Church of England Primary School, Barking Abbey Comprehensive School, the University of Lancaster and the London School of Slavonic and East European Studies where he was awarded an M.A. in International Relations.
After working for Coral Racing he took up research positions with various Members of Parliament, including Jeff Rooker, Jo Richardson, Ian Mikardo and Linda Perham.
He was an elected member of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham from 1986 until standing down in 2006, having been Deputy Leader between 1998 and 2005. He also spent time as Deputy Leader of the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority and Leader of the London Waste Regulation Authority.
In 2005 he served on the London Commission established jointly by the Association of London Government and the Greater London Authority to review London governance.'
