Tzeggai came to the UK as a refugee in 1986. He was the Director of the Evelyn Oldfield Unit since its inception 1994 until 2010, he is now retired. He worked as a team leader of the Community Development Team of the Refugee Council. He comes from Science background, but most of his experience revolved around politics, Human Rights, management, training and community and social development. He is a qualified community and youth worker.
Tzeggai has served in a number of organisation management committees including Multi-faith Refugee Agency, Consortium of Opportunities for Volunteering, Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and currently represents Evelyn Oldfield Unit at National Refugee Integration Forum chaired by the Home Office.
