A chartered accountant, Peter joined 3i in 1970 and has spent the rest of his working life in venture capital. He has worked for 3i in Birmingham, Liverpool, Brighton and London and joined the group Board as Head of UK in 1995.
Since retiring from 3i, he has been a director of Bridges Ventures, an investment fund that provides capital for businesses in the most deprived parts of England. He is also a governor of Dolphin Square Foundation, which provides affordable homes for people working in Westminster.
Other appointments have included: director, Midlands Electricity; council, Institute of Chartered Accountants; council, CBI SME; Business in the Environment.
Leisure interests include opera, music, fell walking, cycling and bridge. Peter is married to Roseanne and they have two grown up sons.
