Miles has been a Chartered Accountant since 1973 and retired as a partner in Moore Stephens. He has responsibility for a wide variety of clients, heads up the firm's not for profit client sector and acts in an advisory capacity for start-up companies and for owner-managed businesses.
He is also a Trustee of Kidscape, the children's charity, a Governor of the Bishopsgate Foundation.
Educated at Uppingham School, Miles is married with three children. His interests include golf, cricket, skiing, and outdoor life generally. He owns and breeds racehorses and is a member of the MCC, the Royal Wimbledon Golf Club and the Sussex Martlets. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards.
