Councillor Peter Brooks

Councillor Peter Brooks became a Trustee and Director of Trust for London in September 2010. He is currently Deputy Leader of Greenwich Council (a position held since 2001) and was elected ward councillor for Thamesmead Moorings (London Borough of Greenwich) in 1997. His current portfolio includes Anti-Poverty, Social Inclusion, the Voluntary Sector, Census Preparation and Human Resources. He holds a number of positions within Greenwich Council and on outside bodies. These include Chair of London Council's Greater London Employers Forum, Trustee of the Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College and member of the World Heritage Site Executive Group. He also deputises for the Leader of Greenwich Council on the London Councils Leader's Committee. Councillor Brooks is also Vice Chair of Greenwich Council's Cabinet Committee and Chair of Governors at Windrush School, Thamesmead, London.
